“Diapers to Menopause: My Life in the Comics”

Sandra’s presentation revolves around a selected slideshow of her comics and reveals the nitty-gritty details of their influences along with personal anecdotes from her 30-year cartooning career.

In addition to her humorous comics, Sandra also discusses two of her poignant story arcs; the Fertility & Adoption story and the Domestic Abuse story. She explains her reasons for exploring these topics, the inspiration behind the focus and subject matter of particular strips and the significant response from readers.

Sandra’s presentation is approximately 40 minutes. If you like, she will be happy to follow-up with a Q & A. Technical requirements: lectern, computer/PowerPoint with remote, screen.

“We had the pleasure of having Sandra speak at our club’s opening meeting of the year with her presentation, “Diapers to Menopause: My Life in the Comics”. She was a huge hit with our membership and had everyone conversely laughing out loud and sitting silently in rapt attention. It was refreshing to have a woman discussing matters and issues we could all relate to. Many women came up to me later talking about how entertaining she was. Sandra is a very engaging, personable and down-to-earth speaker and we would certainly recommend her!”
